The American Energy Solution. Can We Solve This?
Recently in the news, several industry experts
have repeated the
'No Silver Bullet Solution' mantra which has
been quoted over and over
in open discussion concerning the energy crisis
and global warming issues which we now face.
What if there were a way to 1, reduce global
warming, 2, reduce the price of energy to end
consumers, 3, afford us energy independence...
and
I will go one more... 4, do all of this at a
considerable profit?
There might be just such a solution!
We could be just months away from realizing this
'Silver Bullet Solution' - but, because of
bureaucratic requirements, and lack of funding -
the solution may never see the light of day - at
least for several years.
By day, a well respected inventor works a full
time job managing some of the largest and most
ambitious projects in the world. Burning the
midnight oil and tinkering in his garage on the
weekends he believes he has found our solution.
A solution, so simple that a grade school
student could understand how it works, yet so
amazing that one would have to have a working
knowledge of several disciplines of advanced
physics and engineering in order to fully
comprehend the forces used to make this solution
possible.
Imagine an emission free, net power, advanced
physics application which does not create heat,
pollution or radioactive waste-water. Now
imagine this process potentially being able to
cut energy costs in half while affording its
investors a considerable profit margin.
(Projected to be 75% at this time.)
Our inventor can envision all of this and more.
He imagines power plants which rival that of
large dam complexes, while affording a return on
investment for these larger projects,
which could potentially pay for themselves in
less than a year and while also
considerably cutting the price of energy to the
end consumer.
Determined to make this dream a reality, our
inventor faces many
barriers,
which must be overcome to bring this solution to
market, with great optimism.
The costs are far more than what he can
personally afford - at least in the short term.
The next step is to build a working version of
his invention, but the required size of a
working 'prototype' may take years to create in
his garage, and on his budget, if he has to do
this alone.
Yet, given the resources and his great
experience at bringing billion dollar projects
to fruition, he states that within one year he
may be able to break ground on the first power
plant which addresses all of these issues. He is
aware that no small amount of research and
development will be necessary to refine every
detail of this process - yet he's prepared to do
it all by himself.
Schooled in many of the necessary engineering
disciplines which one must be expert in to
make this project viable, our inventor's true
expertise lies in Program Management,
as he has earned a Masters degree from the well
respected ‘Air Force Institute of Technology’
and
has spent more than a decade creating amazing
solutions while managing several
multi-billion dollar projects for the U.S.
Air Force.
Here we have a potential solution from a well
respected professional who can bring this
project to fruition quickly and efficiently,
given the right support and resources.
He is beginning to put together a team of engineers
and scientists to make this project a reality
in short order, but he is also prepared to do it
all on his own, out of his pocket and
in his garage, however long it takes.
Should this project be proven to be viable, then
the question we should be asking ourselves,
switches from 'Can We Solve It?' to 'Will We
Solve It?'. The quest for finding a solution for
these issues then becomes a quest for removing
the barriers to implementing the solution
as rapidly as we can responsibly do so.
The promise is far too great to ignore.
Regardless of the obstacles which must be
overcome to
bring this solution to fruition, our inventor
realizes the great responsibility he has in
making this promise a reality.
Given the resources, the protection from
competitors who would seek to suppress this
technology
or steal these processes, the support of
industry and government, we can quickly answer
the question of whether or not this is indeed
the 'Silver Bullet Solution'.
If this is the answer... Then the question will
become "Why didn't we implement it sooner?"
If this is the answer... Then there must be a
way to set this project on a fast track
to full implementation, and it becomes incumbent
on all of us, who seek this solution,
to support and do what is necessary to help our
inventor overcome any and every obstacle
which may impede his ability to make this dream a reality.
Can We Solve It? Will this become our 'Energy
Solution'? Will this be the World’s energy
solution?
Only time will tell, and it is up to all of us
whether or not we wish to answer these questions
now and protect the American ingenuity behind
this project, or wait for our inventor to do it
on his own while every day that passes we invest
in energy processes which can not meet the great
promise which this 'Silver Bullet Solution'
stands to offer our communities, our country and
the entire world.
